Making chocolates is the perfect Hen party activity

We know as we have had many groups of ladies passing through our doors, all leaving with big smiles and bags of chocolates which they made themselves.

We start with a chocolate tasting of high quality single origin chocolates from different parts of the world like Peru and Madagascar

and we compare these to other high cocoa content bars and discuss how you can distinguish good quality from bad.

If you like you can bring your own champagne and we are happy to put it in the fridge.

We demonstrate making a ganache which forms the center of the truffles. You will also pick up tips from a trained chocolatier

on how to avoid the mixture splitting.

You now get your sleeves rolled up and your hands washed as you will hand roll your own truffles

and then dip them into tempered chocolate. We use Holly’s Rich milk award winning blend

as its the perfect balance of sweetness, smoothness and has a higher cocoa content to other milk

chocolate.

You can also explore your creativity and make heart shaped florentines, marshmallow lollies

and dipped fruits, this is the fun bit, check out facebook to see some little videos

from previous hen parties.
